History

     Despite that we celebrate our 18th year, SIMEX has a tradition over 50th years in the industry of furniture manufacturing, in the North-West region of Romania, Simleu Silvaniei city, becoming in the last fiew years an important place on the map of furniture making industry in Romania.

     At the begining of the 90th, SIMEX has a tradition over 8 years as furniture maker and exporter dedicated exclusively to the german market. Considering the romanian furniture tradition, in the 80th, on the eastern market of Russia, Ukraine and the old CSI Republic, SIMEX has reoriented his furniture range destined to the eastern market. This step was made progressively and started 10 years ago, which proved to be very advantageous and made SIMEX boost his sales figures every year.

     The year 2000 signified the first big success for SIMEX, year in which has begun the company development by purchasing another 5 furniture factories, placed in the region of Salaj and Satu Mare, this way in the year 2004 SIMEX has become a powerful group of companies producing furniture, where the 1300 employees succeeded in a 20 million EURO sales figure, which represents 80% of the furniture export from Romania to the eastern market.

     The sales are made through partners and our own retail shops. At the moment we have more than 20 SIMEX retail shops in Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Austria and Romania.

     No to long ago, we opened a SIMEX furniture warehouse in Moscow (1.000 square meters) and in december 2009 we will unveil with permanent disposition a SIMEX showroom of  200 square meters in the Expositional Center of TVOI DOM in Moscow.
